WHO YOU ARE -
Committed to practicing liberation: We do not live in a world that honors the dignity of every person. We are committed to building a world that has never existed. To do that, we are all in a process of learning and unlearning, expanding how we honor each other and ourselves, and experimenting toward new ways of working and being. You want to be in that imperfect but vital process with our community.
Experienced supporting the growth of youth (13-24): You feel comfortable with and excited to intentionally build relationships with youth where they feel seen, supported, and challenged to expand in the ways that are important to them.
Passionate about our movement building, and thrives off the energy of building relationships with others: You are excited to share IntegrateNYC’s work with current and potential funders, adult allies and other supporters. You understand the power of grassroots organizing as a mechanism for change and will bring that energy to the ways you build relationships and execute your responsibilities. You are a natural storyteller and gain energy by connecting people to common causes and building relationships.
Scrappy, resourceful and go-getter attitude: We are a small organization aiming for high growth! You are not afraid to try new ideas, collaborate with others, and not easily discouraged. You are ready to combine your fundraising skills with a scrappy attitude to look at prospects in a new way, go after opportunities with confidence, and utilize our resources in a strategic way.
HOW TO APPLY
The first step in the application process is to send a resume and cover letter to hire@integratenyc.org by December 19, 2022.
If you are selected for the next step, we will call you to schedule a brief phone call to ask follow up questions on your application. Candidates who move on to the next step will meet with an intergenerational group of our team for a “Meeterview” - a meeting meets interview - where we will get to know each other better. Final offers will be made after all eligible candidates have completed their Meeterview.
Equity Statement: Members of communities that have been marginalized by our white supremacist, cisheteropatriarcial, ableist culture often underestimate their readiness for a position. We encourage you to apply even if you aren’t sure your qualifications or experience are a “perfect” fit or ask questions before applying to wema@integratenyc.org .
