Segregation is Killing Us
The paths COVID-19 has taken through NYC derives from segregation. We’ve partnered with our friends at Territorial Empathy to create shareable resources based on their latest report.

End Discriminatory Screens
In honor of the 66th anniversary of Brown vs Board of Education, more than 50 organizations and 200 community leaders have already joined IntegrateNYC and a coalition of integration advocates in calling for the end to discriminatory admissions screens that perpetuate segregation.
Protest Safely
Many non-violent protestors have been searched or detained by police without the protestor understanding how police have been able to get away with their harassment. In order to protect yourselves and your identity, we compiled some information & tips for our youth who’ve been fiercely taking the streets.

Youth Aid Fund Launch
Emergency funds will be made available for youth 13-124 who were attending or have attended NYC public schools. It provided students direct cash grants to cover costs for mental and medical health, groceries, and phone/WiFi bills. We prioritize students who haven't had access to other direct cash support.
COVID-19 Survey Results
Fifty-four students filled out our COVID-19 survey last Friday. The survey was used to determine how COVID-19 has impacted their school work and their overall wellbeing.

Youth Hotline
We are proud to announce our new Youth Hotline!! It is up and running for talk and text service that can connect youth and their families to food, housing, educational, and recreational resources.
November 1st Youth Council Team Meeting
On Friday, November 1st, we held our second Youth Council of the academic year at Essex Street Academy. The objective of this youth council was to create our ideal school based on the 5 R’s.
Youth Council Kick Off
On Friday, October 11th, we held our first youth council of the academic year! Students from all five boroughs joined us in at The People’s Forum.
